We wanted to take a moment to share something special with you today.
Recently, our two producers—April Himes and Rochelle Gordon—sat down to talk about what God has been stirring in their hearts for Highwater this year. What came out of that conversation was more than just a project update… it felt like a word for the season.
The phrase that kept rising to the surface was simple and powerful:
“Awaken to Life.”
That’s what this year feels like for Highwater.
Not just making another film.
Not just raising support.
Not just building a company.
But stepping into the life God is breathing into this ministry—creatively, spiritually, and relationally.
Highwater has always existed to tell stories that point people toward hope, healing, and truth. But this season feels different. It feels like an invitation to wake up to what God is already doing among us:

New faith rising in families who need encouragement
April and Rochelle share from their hearts about what this word means to them personally and what they believe it means for Highwater moving forward. It’s not a strategy talk—it’s a testimony. A reminder that this work is first and foremost about life in Christ, and letting that life overflow into the stories we create.
